Since ATG was set up in 1996, members of the Group have organised many events to promote Traidcraft and Fair Trade. The list below shows how we have worked to increase awarenes of the value of Fair Trade and the importance of improving the trading rules for developing countries. Participation in the Town's Christmas Extravaganza to turn on the Christmas lights

Fair Trade Fortnight launch of our '2 x 2' Pledge, inviting people to buy £2 of Fair Trade goods every week for 2 years

2004

'A Taste of India', jointly with Christian Aid, with an Indian meal for 130 people and presentations on Traidcraft's work in India

World Food Day event, with Cookery Demonstration and publication of a booklet of Fair Trade recipes 'Fare's Fair', contributed by people in the town, and celebrating 25 years of Traidcraft and 10 years of the Fairtrade mark

2005

'A Taste of Kenya', jointly with Christian Aid, with a Kenyan meal for 70 people and presentations on Traidcraft's work in Kenya and update on the Trade Justice campaign

Two Christmas Sales with Traidcraft and Tearcraft gifts

2006

'Tasting Fair Trade', with a tasting of all Traidcraft food products, a wine tasting and presentation by Traidcraft staff on Economic Partnership Agreements and Company Law reform

Visits to 4 local secondary schools to conduct lessons and speak at assemblies on Fair Trade
